Hi, I'm Serena--Founder of Festi Essentials
Also know as the Festival General Stores. My story starts in the desert, back in 1999 at the very first Coachella. Rage Against the Machine was headlining, and I thought I was ready for the weekend of a lifetime. Spoiler: I wasn't.
Within minutes, I lost my friends, the wind kicked up, and I realized I had nothing on me but a pair of shorts and wedge sandals. Who wears wedges to a festival? Apparently, I did. Zero layers, no essentials, and definitely no backup plan.
But here's the thing: I knew I couldn't have been the only girl who showed up thinking she had it all together. I found out the hard way that festivals are a whole different world.
That experience lit a fire in me. I didn't want anyone else to learn the hard way. So I built a business around preparation, comfort, safety, and style--all in one.
